Prince William (40) sat in the stands at Wembley Stadium as England beat Germany in the final of the Women’s European Championship last week.

After the victory, the prince was on the soccer field to congratulate the new winners. While players have captured the hearts of the world with their success, some have been caught up in Prince William’s rare move.

Because while the prince congratulated most of the players with a handshake, there were some who got a real teddy bear hug. Among them is midfielder Jill Scott (35).

In retrospect, some have asked themselves why only a few players got hugs from the prince. The hug with Scott has a simple but funny explanation, says the England player BBC5 radio.
