Queen Margrethe – 28 year old man’s loving respect for the Queen made Mary melt!

IN In mid-September, Danish Queen Margrethes, 82, celebrated her 50th year on the throne with a grand jubilee in Copenhagen.

But the celebrations were relaxed a bit, as Britain’s Queen Elizabeth, 96, died days before the anniversary began.

– There’s something very familiar about this picture! Did you see that?

On Saturday, a royal dinner is arranged at Christiansborg Castle, where royals from Norway and abroad are on the guest list.

Our own royal couple, Queen Sonja (85) and King Harald (85), are self-proclaimed guests – and most recently the jubilee groomsmen. Sonja and Harald are close friends and related to Queen Margrethe.

Save him lost

During the dinner, there were speeches and musical elements, and when Danish artist Malte Ebert, 28, entered the stage, dressed in a chalk-white tuxedo, tears and laughter broke out among the guests in the hall.

The 28-year-old has written a very personal song, in which he refers to the queen as baby and use his nickname Aster Flower.

He begins the show with the following stanza:

– The first time I saw you, I was seven years old, glued to the screen. It was New Year’s. Their speech is so beautiful.

To Denmark Television 2 Malte has opened up about the fact that he fears he has made a mistake.

– I must say that in the first lines of the song I can feel a little skepticism, he explained to the channel after the show.

- I'm not good at being a grandmother

A good dose of self-deprecation

But Queen Margrethe was known to be self-deprecating and to have a lot of self-irony, and when Malte sang the following stanza, he burst out laughing:

– I’ve heard that you smoke King, maybe I can be your prince?

It was clear that the queen was flattered by the bold text, and her daughter-in-law, Crown Princess Mary, was also touched. He couldn’t hold back the tears!

When Malte finally knelt down and gave the queen a red flower, right next to King Harald, the king of Norway also smiled.

Listen to the self-written song here:

Like the triple queen Margrethe, our own king is also known for his humor and self-irony.

And we can only hope and hope that one of our well-known and beloved artists in this house is inspired to write a similar song for our beautiful Queen Sonja, when she celebrates her next birthday!

The son’s touching and personal speech

The speech of the queen’s eldest son, heir to the throne of Crown Prince Frederiks (50), was also noticed by both guests and the public who watched the gala dinner through the TV screen.

Many claim that this is the most beautiful and most personal speech of a 50 year old man ever delivered:

“The two of us always complement each other. You are a woman. I am a man. you paint. I practice. (…) You master the word. I miss him sometimes. You are classic. I like rock. You are strong in the sea. I have inherited it. And thank God for that. For the ships we share, it’s our collective responsibility. I follow you, as you followed your father, and as a Christian will follow me. That way, our lives overlap – thankfully – but the wheel, that’s yours alone. Command has only one owner on the bridge between generations with the same mission.”
