Russia has threatened to attack military facilities deployed in Ukraine by third countries

MADRID, September 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Russian authorities on Friday threatened to attack military production facilities deployed by Western countries in Ukraine as part of Russia’s invasion of the region.

Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov has indicated that this facility would be a “legitimate target of the Russian Armed Forces,” according to information from Russian news agencies.

“It is clear that all weapons production facilities, especially when these weapons are used against us, will be the focus of special attention for our military,” he told a news conference where he presented an account of the deployment of this aid, particularly by the UK.

He also cautioned that the presence of these facilities would not contribute to reducing tensions or ending the conflict, and would not undermine Russia’s “successful special military operation”, which began in February 2022.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that this “operation” aims to “protect the population from the genocide of the Kiev regime and thereby overcome the risks to national security posed by NATO’s eastward advance”.
