Seville launches direct connection with Birmingham from Monday

Starting Monday, Seville will have a new direct air connection with the UK: Birmingham. Irish flag carrier Ryanair has scheduled routes with the British city starting October 30 Flights will have a frequency of two days a week: Monday and Saturday. In this case, Seville airport will hold a welcoming event for passengers on the first flight from the city of Birmingham. At the reception, there will be the airport director, Sergio Millanes; Ryanair’s ‘country manager’ for Spain, Elena Cabrera, and the head of the agency responsible for tourism and business promotion of the destination Seville, according to AENA sources.

Direct flights to Birmingham have been provided duration is two hours and 45 minutes and departs from Seville airport at 10:50, while the scheduled departure from UK airfields is around 06:30. A total of 21 Spanish cities and 53 foreign cities (17 countries) are connected to the Andalusian capital via various airlines. Italy, with ten cities, is the country with the most routes in this regard, followed by France (7) and Germany (6). In this respect, Seville is united with Cagliari, Catania, Turin, Milan, Bologna, Pisa, Venice, Rome, Bari and Naples, in terms of transalpine countries; with Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Marseille, Lyon, Montpellier and Paris, in France; and with German cities such as Cologne, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Baden Baden, Dusseldorf and Munich.
