A job in the Armed Forces is something more than just a job. The most important task of the Armed Forces is to create security for Norway and security for the population. No matter what position you hold, you are helping to safeguard the interests of the country and society. To protect all that we have and all that we are, we must live the values we set out to defend. Therefore, we want employees who contribute to a good culture by showing respect and responsibility to one another, and who have the courage to act rightly and speak up.
Part of Soldier do you help create security on the ground. A defense cannot do without strength on the field. The army was essential to maintaining control of Norwegian lands, and its duties were numerous even in times of peace.
The Army Training Regiment, with approximately 900 employees and conscripts, was responsible for operating Army camps from Huseby in the south to Kirkenes in the north. This involves the operation and maintenance of, among other things, kitchens, welfare, sports, public health services, shooting ranges and buildings and facilities. In some geographic areas, the Training Regiment provides support to units outside the Army. The department also includes the Allied Training Center (ATS) and the Logistics Battalion. The Allied Training Center was the liaison between Allied and military units, Allied and civilian authorities, landowners and other actors. The logistics battalion takes care of all supplies in the Army.
In the Armed Forces, it is desirable that the workforce should reflect the diversity of the population as much as possible. We encourage qualified candidates to apply, regardless of gender, cultural background, gap in CV or functional ability. We will provide accommodation at work if there is a need for this. Some Armed Forces positions may have their own health and physical fitness requirements.
Under the second paragraph of the Public Access to Information Act 25, information about an applicant may be made public even if the applicant has asked not to be included in the applicant list. There are separate rules for military positions.
