Snow chaos in New York State:

In the Erie area, where Buffalo is located, there was a ban on driving, when a blizzard interrupted by lightning and thunder, a phenomenon known as “snow thunder”, hit Buffalo on Friday.

– Dangerous travel conditions and local power outages due to storms may be caused by a combination of snow and wind. Lightning and thunder can occur, the State of New York wrote in one pers conference.

– Governor Hochul appealed to New Yorkers to be vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.

According to the National Weather Service, more rainfall in the form of snow is forecast throughout the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, there may be up to 1.4 meters of snow.

There was half a meter of snow on the Buffalo Bills NFL team’s home field on Friday. Therefore, Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns will be moved to Detroit, the NFL said in an announcement.

– My administration has been preparing around the clock for this potentially life-threatening event, bringing in additional security personnel and equipment, closing the New York State Thruway and activating an emergency operations center.
