The airfryer starts to burn

A woman from Manchester in England recently had a terrifying moment when her air fryer suddenly burst into flames in the kitchen.

– It could set fire to the kitchen, he added Manchester Evening News.

Britain’s Rebecca Sim, 52, was turning on her one-year-old Tower unit to cook bacon in her kitchen when she noticed what started as a small flame, and an odd plastic smell.

The retired schoolteacher said the fire grew quickly when he unplugged it and jumped out.

– Surprised

– I was very surprised. I bought an air fryer for my daughter Isobel when she was at Liverpool university and she would cook in it and leave it while doing other things. Luckily I didn’t leave it – it could have burned the kitchen down.

Sim takes video footage of the incident (see video further down in this case), after which he throws the produce out of the house.

The video shows the air fryer catching fire, and the company selling the product has launched a thorough investigation to find out what happened, local British newspapers reported.

– They let it

The mother of two thinks that so many people owning an air fryer is a scary thing.

– Some of my friends have one. They all said they often left it alone when they went out and did things. It’s very easy to use and had cleaned thoroughly before I used it, so I wasn’t expecting this, said Sim.

He thought that it was a disgusting experience that could quickly get a lot worse if he didn’t find the flames right away.

Sim has multiple sclerosis and says he is not fast or strong. It’s hard for him to throw away the air fryer.

– I was just shocked – I thought “what if it happened to my daughter.” I couldn’t believe how fast it started to burn.

Dagbladet has tried to contact Sim, but received no response.

Should do a thorough investigation

A Tower spokesperson confirmed to the Manchester Evening News they had been contacted by Sim about the incident.

– While we’re glad Rebecca Sim is okay, we’re reaching out to her for an air fryer so an investigation can be carried out.

They went on to say that the safety of their product was of the utmost importance to them, and hoped that a thorough investigation would help them understand what was going on.
