The first commercial export of HIF Global’s carbon neutral fuel is already headed to Europe

The first commercial export of carbon neutral fuel has begun its journey from Chile to Europe: it sailed from Puerto Mardones on the ship Copihue, which will dock this Sunday in San Antonio to make the transfer and continue its journey to the UK, carrying 24,600 liters of synthetic gasoline containing produced at the Haru Oni demonstration plant in Highly Innovative Global Fuel (HIF Global).

“In March we delivered the first liter of fuel for Porsche to test in their cars, now we are completing the first commercial export, which will be used in the Experience Center and the Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup without the need to modify the engine. . This product can be used today, with existing infrastructure and is real progress towards stopping climate change,” said HIF Global regional manager for Latin America, Víctor Turpaud.

Just like conventional gasoline, this e-fuel is transported in isotanks that meet special safety standards and are made from stainless steel alloy and surrounded by a protective layer.

To achieve this export, the fuel undergoes strict quality control, with 24/7 parameter control by control room operators, field control and daily sample analysis in the laboratory that HIF developed together with Gasco and the University of Magallanes.
