Sandbox VR, one of the world’s most advanced and pioneering virtual reality gaming experiences, has opened a base in the heart of Birmingham. The new location in Birmingham features 13,000 square feet of world-class VR gaming, with 6 virtual reality rooms, also known as the “holodeck”, making it the world’s largest Sandbox VR venue, with hospitality offerings.

Sandbox VR Birmingham offers an immersive, full-body VR experience like never before in the VR gaming world. State-of-the-art virtual reality equipment is used to give the players a sensational experience. Up to six players collectively are immersed as if they were living in a movie or game, experiencing a variety of adrenaline-pumping emotions as they enter a daring pirate world, a zombie apocalypse, or soar above the clouds in a space elevator.

Players can choose various characters, such as elves, wizards, warriors, astronauts, pirates, pilots or soldiers, and explore various colorful landscapes and dynamic atmosphere. With a gear shift in technological advances, driven by a new generation of motion-capture cameras and Hollywood technology, people can interact with one another in games built to be competitively social. State-of-the-art technology and software allow players to experience touch, vibration and movement. Up to six players can participate in the holodeck simultaneously.

After the game, all guests are invited to socialize in comfort as they watch highlights from their experiences, while enjoying cocktails prepared by the UK’s first permanent robot bartender, created by Italian design firm Makr Shakr. Venue Birmingham also has a dedicated area that can be rented out for private events, whether it’s a corporate party or with family and friends.
