The UK believes that emergency air assistance in Gaza is too dangerous

British Defense Minister Grant Shapps believes this according to Bloomberg sources that emergency air assistance is too dangerous for the civilian population in Gaza.

British officials have drawn up plans to work with Jordan’s air force to provide emergency aid by air, as have the US, France and Egypt.

Shapps has now abandoned that plan, arguing, among other things, that Palestinian civilians would inevitably be killed after receiving emergency aid to the head, according to Bloomberg.

According to five Palestinians Al Jazeera was killed in this way last week, but no country has yet claimed responsibility for this.

Norway is also considering cooperating with Jordan in sending emergency aid to the Gaza Strip, said Development Minister Anne Beathe Tvinnereim (Sp) last weekend.

– The armed forces are now assessing whether they have the resources to support air operations under the auspices of the Jordanian government, he said.

– I want to emphasize that it is not the optimal solution for Israel to open the borders and ensure safe and permanent access to Gaza, he added.

Aid organizations have been highly critical of emergency aid provided by air and state that it is expensive, dangerous and can only cover a fraction of what could be easily transported to the Gaza Strip by truck if Israel allowed it.
