Ukraine reported three dead and six injured after nearly 60 Russian attacks on Kherson in the last few hours

Ukrainian authorities in the Kherson region, in the east of the country, have denounced this Sunday that at least three people were killed and six others injured after nearly 60 Russian attacks were carried out in areas under Ukrainian control, starting with the city of Kherson, in 24 hours. final.

The head of the regional military administration, Yaroslav Yanushevich, has reported that Russia has launched at least 54 attacks including artillery shelling, rocket launcher fire, mortar and sniper fire.

The attacks have hit residential neighborhoods, medical centers, single-family homes and apartment blocks.

“Yesterday (Saturday) three people died as a result of Russian shelling, six citizens of the Kherson region were injured of varying degrees of severity,” he said on his Telegram account.

For its part, Russia has reported at least two injuries in fresh Ukrainian bombing of the occupied Donetsk region, also to the east, where the Russian Army has reported “significant progress” in recent hours.

Likewise, the Mayor of Russia’s Donetsk, Aleksei Kulemzin, condemned the Ukrainian attack on a nursery school and kindergarten, which resulted in no casualties, reports Russian news agency TASS.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday the progress made by its forces after defeating Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk region, which will allow them to take up an advantageous position. Kyiv, on the other hand, has assured that its troops have prevented the Russian advance and avoided damaging its defensive lines in the region.

Britain also decried the intensification of its long-range bombing campaign against Uranian infrastructure with the use of air-launched or sea-launched cruise missiles, but also included Iranian drones which were “almost certainly” launched from the Krasnodar region.
