United Kingdom: – Found in suitcase

Last week, Dagbladet said police were in a major operation in Bristol after a man was seen carrying two suitcases containing human remains.

Now the police have managed to identify the two people who died: Paul Longworth (71) from England and the Frenchman, who had become a British citizen, Albert Alfonso (62), wrote Independent.

Dumped near the bridge

It is still unclear how and why the two men were killed, but police in Bristol said the defendant, Yostin Andres Mosquera, was supposed to be living with them for a short time.

The two deceased were reportedly in a previous relationship.

Mosquera allegedly carried the body in a suitcase to the Clifton Suspension Bridge and dumped it there.

Not all of the bodies were in the suitcases – the remains were said to have been found near an address in west London where he lived with the men, the newspaper said.

Not a homophobic motive

The investigation so far has not shown a homophobic motive, but the case is still being classified as a hate crime.

– I am sure this horrific event will strike fear into the hearts of the residents of Shepherd’s Bush (west London), but also throughout the LGBTQ movement in London, said Andy Valentine of the British police in a statement.

– Beautiful man

In a follow-up to the findings on the bridge, police will search the men’s former home.

Locals described the two as pleasant and friendly people in The Independent.

– They are just good guys, said another unnamed resident.

The defendant will undergo a new trial on Wednesday.
