Vecoplan will contribute with its technology to increasing recycled plastic waste in the UK

British company YS Reclamation, specializing in plastic transformation, believe in the powerful destroyer Veco’s plan For efficiently processes large amounts of post-consumer waste comes from LDPE sheet. Compared to its predecessor, the new machine is extraordinarily reliable and offers much higher output quality, in addition to avoiding prolonged production stops. The advantage is the variety of services that make Vecoplan always on the client’s side.

Increasing the amount of plastic waste recycled in the UK: that’s the ambitious goal of YS Reclamation, based in the English town of Warrington. Since 2017, this company which operates in the field of plastic transformation has not stopped investing in new facilities to improve the quality of the granules obtained from the plastic they process. Problem: The crushing machine they have used so far is not optimal, both in terms of productivity and quality.

YS Reclamation processes 27 tons of post-consumer plastic tarpaulin made from soft polyethylene (low-density polyethylene or LDPE) every day. At the same time, companies generate that waste up to 25 tonnes of high quality plastic granules of five types through specially designed procedures. The resulting materials are used to produce a wide variety of products. Fines generated during crushing, which must be separated before the next stage of the process, are passed on to other facilities that use them produce energy. In this way, YS Reclamation does not produce any type of waste in the entire process.
