The vice president, Victoria Villarruel, highlighted the Governance of La Libertad Progress “recognizing the great sacrifice of the Armed Forces” and stated that claims sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands “will always continue”.
“The relatives of the Malvinas veterans feel that there is finally a Government that recognizes the great sacrifice of the Armed Forces, that recognizes that April 2 was a heroic achievement for the entire Argentine Republic and that the claim to sovereignty will continue”said the Senate chairman.
When asked about how Argentina should act on the international stage regarding the Malvinas Issue, the libertarian leader stated: “This is an example where there is a sovereignty claim that we have to seriously and seriously initiate bilateral discussions with the UK.”
“Here there is the intervention of an extracontinental power in Argentine territory and it is time for Britain to sit down and really discuss with the Argentine Republic regarding the sovereignty claims that have been pending since 1833.”he closed.
