In addition, responsible for strengthening the ‘Infrastructure and Building’ business and find new business opportunities in other markets and in other company activities, such as water, gas and renewable energy.
The new general manager of Internacional has a professional career of more than 25 years of experience in the international field and in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects.
Until its incorporation into Urbas, Franco, Mining engineer specializing in Energy and Fuelhas held the position of Director of Regional Operations for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Latam at Técnicas Reunidas.
Previously, he worked for international companies and consultants in large-scale, high-value project management positions, such as Socoin, then an engineering firm of the Unión Fenosa Group specializing in the implementation of “turnkey” projects in the energy sector.
Franco’s team also joined Fernando Ribeiro Simoes as the new Director of International Construction.
Ribeiro Simoes is a Civil Engineer from the Technical University of Lisbon and joined Urbas after passing the Duro Felguera, where he has been Director of Corporate Business Development focusing on implementing EPS projects in the fields of energy, mining & handling, oil and gas ; and in the development of new technology projects in the green energy sector. Previously, he worked at Sacyr holding managerial positions in international business development in countries such as Portugal, UK, Ireland, Angola and Brazil.
