The British Council has announced a second group of scholarships for women in STEM. There are more than 100 scholarships available to female STEM scholars from Asia and America, of which 65 scholarships are provided to female STEM scholars from India and other South Asian countries, awarded on merit without any specific country restrictions.
Selected scholars will be able to pursue Masters or Initial Academic Scholarships at UK universities, with scholarships covering tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel expenses, visa fees and medical coverage, as well as dependent funding if any academics so wish. to travel with their children.
The first global cohort of 119 scholars enrolled in their chosen course in the Fall 2021 session and includes 19 candidates from India. With this scholarship, the British Council continues to support women seeking a global credential in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) field at UK universities.

As part of the programme, female STEM scholars from India can apply for Masters programs and initial academic scholarships at 13 UK universities in courses such as data science, environmental science, engineering, public health systems, information technology, renewable energy and energy management and project management. .
This scholarship is also open to women with dependents to apply, with additional support. Applications for British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM are open until 31 March 2022, although students are advised to check individual university deadlines.
