British intercept Russian bombers

British authorities themselves announced the interception on Monday afternoon, according to the Reuters news agency.

According to authorities, the Russian bombers were near the northern border of a region designated by NATO as a “Air Police Area”.

Earlier on Monday, Denmark identified two Russian bombers heading towards Dutch airspace. Defense on X (Formerly Twitter).

It is not known whether the two planes are the same.

However, according to NTB, the bomber heading to the Netherlands must have been a “Tupolev” bomber.

On Monday, Russia’s state-run RIA news agency also reported that Russian MiG-29 fighter jets on Monday intercepted two Norwegian fighter jets suspected of approaching Russian airspace over the Barents Sea.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims it must be an R-8A “Poseidon” aircraft.

Reidar Flasnes, press officer at the operational headquarters of the Norwegian Armed Forces, confirmed that a Norwegian plane had been identified by a Russian plane – something he described as a normal occurrence.

– There has been a Norwegian military aircraft identified by a Russian aircraft in international airspace. “We consider it a normal activity and it often goes both ways,” Flasnes said.
