It Junta de Castilla y Leon commitment to innovation, internationalization and digitization of education by once again calling the Summer School. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Education is helping to update and upgrade the professional skills of Community teachers.
Throughout July and August, a total of 2,089 teachers will be able to attend 74 different activities which, in person or online, will connect them with dedicated speakers to promote an innovative, international and digital school.
Specifically, the Innovative Schools training proposal will offer web seminars on creativity and entrepreneurship in the classroom, emotional well-being, critical thinking development or scientific competency enhancement for a total of 1,250 participants. For its part, Digital School, also in webinar format, will train 300 teachers in robotics, digital video or the use of social networks for education.
Finally, the International School will offer more than 500 places so that language and bilingual teachers can improve their methodological skills and teachers in general improve their linguistic skills in English, French, Portuguese or German directly in Great Britain, France, Germany, Portugal or Ireland, among others.
The Directorate General of Teacher Innovation and Innovation, which is in charge of the project, coordinates and directs these training activities, in collaboration with three specialized regional training centers and the Teacher Education and Training Innovation Center (CFIE) at the provincial level. .
The Summer School is part of the Teacher Training Plan, which has 5,274 activities planned for this school year with 117,369 venues on offer. On average, each teacher in the Community has been able to participate in more than three training activities.
Thus, and pending the end of the program, 30,613 teachers have participated in some of the scheduled activities, representing 87% of the workforce. Since September, each teacher has carried out an average of 3.2 activities with almost 78 hours of training.
