The sound, picked up by the Canadian plane late on Tuesday and initially described as “throbbing”, comes from “background sound from the ocean”, according to a preliminary analysis by the US Navy. It reports Sky News.

Rear Adm. John Mauger of the Coast Guard informed British channels they were continuing their analysis, but the Coast Guard was not waiting for a full report to take action.

– What’s important to me is that we continue to search with the ROV (underwater robot) in the area where sound is detected.

Two deep-sea robots are now actively searching for the ship. One, a Canadian, was searching the seabed in the “Titanic” wreck, while the other, a Frenchman, was launched at 2 p.m.

The navy will also continue to search for “valuable information” related to underwater sounds that have been found, Mauger added.

According to Coast Guard estimates, the submarine “Titan”, missing since Sunday, ran out of oxygen at 13:00 on Thursday afternoon.

But the coast guard said his focus was still on rescuing the five people on board the small submarine.

And now Mauger is telling the TV channel that the focus is on “maximizing use” of the tools on the site and discussions about when the search effort will end have not taken place.

Such a decision, Mauger said, would be taken after consultation with the missing person’s family.
