Colin Dick is appointed as the new British charge d’affaires in Venezuela

The British Embassy in Venezuela announced Tuesday that diplomat Colin Dick will become the country’s new charge d’affaires, replacing Duncan Hill, who served for four years.

This information was released by the Indonesian Embassy itself via its social networks: “We are proud to announce that Colin Dick has been appointed as Chargé d’Affaires”he pointed out.

Dick expressed his excitement about representing his country in Venezuela. “I am grateful and happy with the kindness of the Venezuelan people”he pointed out.

He added, within the framework of 188 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, this will continue “working to strengthen relations between Venezuela and the UK”.

Collin Dick has held diplomatic positions since 1990, most recently as Commissioner for Barbados and the Caribbean (2013-2017), and Head of Department and Director in charge of the UK’s Exiting the European Union Department (2017-2019).
