Ecuador will become a member of the UN Security Council

With 190 votes, the UN General Assembly chose Ecuador as one of the five non-permanent members of its Security Council. Japan, Malta, Mozambique and Switzerland are other members.

Ecuador was elected on 9 June 2022 as one of the five members of the United Nations Security Council.

Country gets 190 out of 193 votes in the UN General Assemblywhich also points Japan, Malta, Mozambique and Switzerland like other non-permanent members.
