– We would like to announce that the relationship between us has ended. We have come to the conclusion that our choice of future paths is different. The offense was non-dramatic, and we have no comment beyond this announcement, wrote Per Sandberg in a statement to TV 2.

Bahareh Letnes has posted the same message on his closed Instagram profile.

The former profile of Frp and Letnes confirmed that they had become a couple in 2018.

That created a media storm like no other, and soon Sandberg resigned from his job as fisheries minister and co-chairman of the Progressive Party.

The backdrop was revelations that, against PST advice, Sandberg had used a service phone on a private trip to Iran without informing the Prime Minister’s office of the trip.

He also took the phone with him on work trips to China.

Sandberg believes his departure was not due to his use of cell phones, but to how the media and other politicians were pursuing and “abusing” his relationship with his girlfriend, Norwegian-Iranian Bahareh Letnes.

In recent years, Sandberg and Letnes operated the Grand Hotel in Halden. It is something that has been documented in the TV series 2 “Per og Baharehs Grand Hotel”.

In an interview with TV 2 in regards to the premiere, the pair said that working together had affected their relationship.

– We have been living together almost 24/7 for five years, and working together for three. I’d say we started our hotel operations as 80 percent lovers, and 20 percent business partners. Then we finish with 80 percent business partners, and 20 percent as lovers. I think people will see it over the course of the series, said Sandberg.
