No, all that glitters is definitely not gold on streaming giant Netflix – but with political drama series Diplomat hit them almost in the blink of an eye!

Series creator, and co-writer, is Deborah Kahn (West wing, Homeland), which is clearly inspired by the current political situation in the White House, a polarized United States and an unclear game in the world political arena.

We meet aging Democratic President Rayburn (Michael McKean), who is constantly being questioned about his health. She has a young female vice president, with a husband who is about to impeach her for financial default. So, there are some who, behind closed doors, talk to each other, and call experienced professional diplomat Kate Wyler (Keri Russell, American) as vice president course.

Kate is married to former ambassador Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), and the pair are actually on their way to the ambassadorial post in Kabul when White House Chief of Staff Billie Appiah (Nana Mensah) and the president summon her to the Oval Office, assigning her the prestigious post of ambassador. for Great Britain.

Somewhat reluctantly, she sets off, on two wheels with her charismatic husband, for London, and one of the most extravagant properties in the land of caps, where troublesome pomp and pomp – and political turmoil – await.

No, not all that glitters is gold on Netflix – but once in a while the streaming giant succeeds!

As a smoldering backdrop, there was another crisis in the Middle East, where a British aircraft carrier was terror bombed, with the tragic result of over 40 dead naval guests. The evidence points relatively clearly towards the clerical regime in Tehran.

I’m so excited to be back for another chapter of this cleverly insane show. Dare I say it was fun? Thanks Netflix for giving us another chance.
