Royal Matter Medicine / Health | Queen Elizabeth must stand above the memorial service

– The Queen has received a stiff back and decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today’s memorial service, said in an announcement from Buckingham Palace.

The 95-year-old king has relaxed in recent weeks on the advice of doctors. Several appearances have been cancelled, leading to speculation about the queen’s health.

According to the plan, today’s celebration of Remembrance Sunday, in which Britain remembers their fallen soldiers, will be its first public appearance after a hospital visit. This was a celebration he had participated in for many years before.

The grand celebration was held at the Cenotaph War Memorial in Whitehall, London.

In the hospital

The Queen of England spent her first night in hospital on October 20 in eight years. The night before, he hosted politicians and business leaders, including Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Bill Gates, at Windsor Castle.

Buckingham Palace first tried to cover up the hospital visit, but confirmed it a day later.

British media reported that the queen only spent the night in hospital for “practical reasons” as it was too late to drive the 42km back to Windsor.

Buckingham Palace later said doctors had asked him to remain calm for two weeks.

– As a follow up to the previous suggestion that the queen should rest for a few days, Her Majesty’s doctor has now advised that she should continue to rest for at least two weeks, it was stated in the announcement from the court.

Have to cancel

Queen Elizabeth, who could celebrate her 70th birthday as queen in 2022, was supposed to be present during the opening of the climate conference in Glasgow on November 1, but had to settle for a video greeting.

History has shown that when countries unite for a common cause, there is always room for hope, said the 95-year-old monarch, urging participants to “rise above the politics of today.”

He was not bedridden, however, for the same day he was seen driving around his property at Winsor Castle.

In a photo published in several UK media You can see him behind the wheel wearing sunglasses and with a scarf on his head.
