Three to the hospital after a gas accident: – One seriously injured
There has been a serious accident with acetylene gas at a company in Mosjøen in Nordland. All three people involved in the crash have been taken to hospital, and the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
– Someone was seriously injured, and after the explosion as we interpret it, Hansen said in an update at 07.31.
Police are now investigating the incident.
– We received a message just before 00:30, in which one of the people involved called and reported the accident. There were three people present, and there was a kind of explosion. We move together with fire and health. We have conducted an on-site investigation, and opened a case. We will continue our investigation tomorrow, operations manager May Wenche Hansen told TV 2.
The accident definitely happened at the company, but it was not work related. The three people were not working when the accident occurred, and therefore it was not a work accident.
Someone has ties to the company, but why the three people were there remains unclear, according to the operations manager.
Hansen said that one of the people involved appeared to be more hurt than the other two. But he couldn’t say anything more about the current condition of the three of them.
