We’ve been talking about the evolution Morgan has had lately. British manufacturer is one of the most traditional in their production methods as well as in their approach. However, it has now released the new CX-Generation aluminum platform and a hopeful future awaits them. Just look at some of the releases like the one from Morgan Plus Four LM62, a special edition honoring one of his most charismatic victories in the competition.

If we analyze the name, it is based on the Morgan Plus Four, the last example of the brand with a four-cylinder engine. The second part of the name refers to 24 Hours Le Mans 1962, proof that they won in their category and that they remain as one of the big milestones. Only six decades had passed since that feat, they considered that this was the ideal time to launch special edition very exclusive and full of details.

As we said, it’s inspired by the Morgan Plus 4 SuperSports (TOK 258) registration which earned victory in the 2.0 liter class. Therefore, it is offered with body color Morgan Jet Green That Morgan Tertre Rouge and with a hard top finished in White Heirloom, something that appears for the first time in the model range. In the same color appears a circle with the number 29 on both sides. Another exterior details it’s the silver painted wire wheels, the Le Mans style fuel filler cap or the LM62 logo in some places.

In the The Morgan Plus Four LM62 also includes a special edition plate and high-quality elements such as a satin-lacquered rubber mat, Tawny wood dashboard or Black leather Comfort Plus seat which is heated. This model can also be customized with some details from the examples that won its category at Le Mans 60 years ago, such as the Moto-Lita steering wheel, headlight bands or the mirrors with chrome interior.

Production of the Morgan Plus Four LM62 will be very limited and only 62 units will be made, which can be selected by steering right or left, in addition to manual or automatic transmission. The engine is a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo with 255 hp from BMW, which has not changed. Prices in UK portion £78,995, which would be around 94,832 euros at the current exchange rate.
