– The murders don’t seem random

The man who was killed at Grünerløkka in Oslo on Sunday has still not been identified. The police announced this on Monday.

Police believe that it was a man in his 20s. The next of kin have been informed, but with the caveat that his identity has yet to be determined, police said.

The investigation has been going smoothly since the police were notified. Among other things, several witness interviews have been taken and forensic investigations have been carried out. A woman in her 30s has been charged with the murder.

– Several witness interviews have been conducted and surveillance video searches. The accused initially explained himself to the police. He is related to the incident, but has not been confronted about criminal wrongdoing, said Anne Alræk Solem, head of the Homicide Investigation Section.

Wounded man dies – women are prosecuted

– Very impressed

The woman in her 30s has yet to decide whether she will plead guilty. His lawyer, Kai Roger Vaag, informed Dagbladet.

– There will be a detention meeting today at 3 pm, but it is not yet clear whether he will be able to attend, said the defense.

The woman was questioned on Monday evening. Vaag said that he later attended, but that only the initial questioning had taken place.

– He is very affected by events and situations. Now we must first find out how he gave himself into custody, he told Dagbladet.

It had been agreed that the woman would be questioned again, but this would not be Monday, according to Vaag. The time of the examination will be agreed with the police later.

– I can confirm that he is connected to the incident. Beyond that, I don’t want to add anything right now, Vaag said.

Call witnesses

Solem at the police added that the killings did not appear to be random, and there was no indication that more people were involved. The man was found seriously injured on the stairs, and died on the spot.

– We ask that witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police contact them immediately, said Solem.

Police have an overview of the sequence of events, but are currently not out with what has been made of the seizure. The woman in her 30s, accused of murder, will be taken to jail today.
