(CNN Radio Argentina) – Journalist Fernanda Iglesias speaking from London on the Los Primeros de la Tarde program in CNNradio about the ceremony the coronation of King Carlos III and said that there was “not so much euphoria in the streets”.

About 2,300 people accepted the invitation to the service which will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May. Among the guests, according to the palace, were members of the royal family, international representatives from 203 countries, along with volunteers from the public and charities.

Although the list of members of the royal family who will attend the coronation of King Charles III has not been officially announced, the Princes of Wales, William and Kate, and their three children are expected to attend.

In dialogue with Adrián Puente and his team, the specialist stated: “I went to Spain and I started to think that it was a coronation. I booked tickets and came to London to see this historic event.”

“This morning I went downtown and we started through the most commercial part of it, which is Oxford Street, and it was very empty.” “This Monday holiday they are adding to it and probably many are traveling,” added Iglesias, who commented that he was with a friend who lives in London.

And he narrowed: “When we went to the Big Ben side there were more tourists and I noticed that all the shop windows had posters honoring Carlos’ coronation. It’s like a reminder of what’s to come, but I didn’t realize that much euphoria.”

“I saw people camping in front of Buckingham Palace but not many. Royalties are a serious and respected matter especially for parents.”he explained.

In this regard, the journalist said that “maybe there weren’t so many people during the coronation, but we’ll see tomorrow.”
