Zacatecas, Zac., December 21, 2021.- The Zacatecas government led by David Monreal Vila, supports two Zacatecan recipients of the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) with scholarships abroad, who, upon completion, pledge to again contribute to the transformation of their home country, with the application of the knowledge they will acquire. in Switzerland and England.

From the Zacatecan Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (Cozcyt), Lizbeth Sarahí Mendieta Rodríguez and Leonardo Quirino Olvera, graduate students in Engineering and Technology, received advice on compliance procedures and electronic file integration; and Physical Mathematics and Earth Sciences, respectively.

Because of their innovation and social impact, the two Zacatecan projects were selected by the Federation from the dozens of proposals participating in the 2021 Conacyt Regional Northeast Scholarship call, in which young students from the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León also participated .and Tamaulipas.

Lizbeth Mendieta will study her doctorate directly at Durham University, where, next January, she will travel to the UK to develop the Sustainable hydrogen production project for decarbonization integrated energy systems, which will last three and a half years.

Meanwhile, Leonardo Quirino has started at the University of Bern, in Switzerland, a Masters in Climate Science with a specialization in Climate Environmental Economics, a program to which he will dedicate two years in a row.number of studies.
