Ukraine.- Britain said that Russia began deploying a new airborne division in Ukraine

The British Intelligence Service confirmed that it was “most likely” that these troops were “poorly trained”

MADRID, November 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

British Intelligence Services have indicated this Thursday that Russia has begun deploying a new division of its Airborne Forces in Ukraine, within the framework of the invasion carried out in February 2022 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) may have already started deploying the newly formed 104th Guards Airborne Division,” they said, before highlighting that these troops would be sent to Kherson province.

Therefore, they recall that the Minister of Defense of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, in August announced plans to create this division, which had been reduced to one brigade in 1998, before indicating that in this way the VDV division would increase to five “consecutive combat .”

However, they highlighted that it was “most likely” that these troops were “poorly trained” and that they “did not reach the elite standards that the VDV had in other eras,” according to a statement published by the British Ministry of Defense through a statement published on its account on the social network X.

“He will most likely be questioned by the Russian general in charge of Kherson, Mikail Teplinski,” they said, noting that Teplinski was also the “general commander of the VDV.”
