The famous British Labor Party politician, Glenys Kinnock, has died at the age of 79. That’s what his son Stephen wrote on Instagram.
Former Danish prime minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt is married to Stephen Kinnock, who is a member of parliament in the United Kingdom. He also commented on the death of his mother-in-law.
– I’m devastated, Thorning-Schmidt wrote on Instagram.
– My dear mother-in-law fell asleep peacefully yesterday, after years of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, he wrote further.
According to the BBC, Kinnock was diagnosed with the disease in 2017. At her side was her husband Neil, who was leader of the Labor Party for nine years between 1983 and 1992.

Glenys Kinnock has been an elected member of the European Union Parliament for 15 years, and was Minister for Europe in Gordon Brown’s government, among other things.
– I learned a lot from Lenys, and he is a very good friend. A truly formidable woman in every way, wrote Helle Thorning-Schmidt in her tribute to her mother-in-law.
He is survived by two children and five grandchildren.
