Thames Water, the UK’s largest water company, has announced that it will announce a temporary ban on the use of water hoses in parts of the UK, reports Sky News
Thames Water said in a statement that, based on an upcoming weather report reporting hot and dry weather, it would implement the ban over the coming weeks.
Expect extreme heat
According to meteorologists in Great Britain, temperatures in the central and southern parts of Great Britain could reach 30 degrees this week.
A danger alert has been sent, according to Sky News. Residents are warned of the risk of heat stroke, and there may be public transport delays as people tend to flock to the beach.

On July 19, a new British heat record was set when temperatures rose to 40.3 degrees at Heathrow airport outside London. The previous record of 38.7 degrees was set in 2019.
France is currently suffering from its fourth heatwave so far this year, and in Spain the average July temperature is the highest on record.
As a result of global warming, scientists expect gradually higher temperatures and more frequent record heats across much of the world.
