After Brexit, UK negotiates trade agreement with Mexico • Business • Forbes México

Notimex.- The British government announced today that it will begin negotiations to reach a high-level trade agreement with Mexico, to safeguard the exchange of financial services, trade and investment.

The British embassy in Mexico confirmed the above following talks its diplomats had with Mexican representatives this weekend in London.

They reported that it was a meeting to strengthen political dialogue, economic ties and broad cooperation in facing global challenges.

The delegation was led by Mexico’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Julián Ventura, and included representatives from various UK secretariats, ministries and agencies.

Also, an important part of diplomatic negotiations, according to the British representative, is the issue of gender equality.

She announced that they would initiate measures throughout the year to promote the exchange of practices that promote the promotion of women in all sectors.

Regarding trade and investment, the two countries agreed to support the health equipment, infrastructure, food, electronics and energy sectors.
