– Never seen it so bad

On the night of May 17, there were a large number of incidents in the country’s police districts.

In Oslo there are some big parties.

– There’s a lot of poisoning and a lot of noise. Among other things, there was a large gathering in St. Hanshaugen with russ and youth, operations manager Christian Khron Engeseth at the Oslo police told Dagbladet early Tuesday.

He further said that it was still not a big event at the party.

– On-site patrols are doing well on a preventive basis, says Engeseth.

Party riots across the country: – Lots of drunks

When Dagbladet was in the park on a Monday night, it was packed.

The next day the park was full of trash. There were Russian cards, blanks and glass bottles everywhere.

– Excessive

– I’ve never seen it this bad, Roy Gustavsen told Dagbladet on Tuesday morning.

For the past ten years, he has been working to clean up city parks for the urban environment agency in the municipality of Oslo.

– We tried to clean up last night, but the police just said that we have to stay away because there are certain wild conditions. Police estimated there were 4,000 to 5,000 people in the park, he said.

This isn’t the first time Gustavsen has cleaned up after an evening party in the park in St. Hanshausen.

– We knew it was going to be bad, but it’s a bit over. Worst of all, there’s a lot of glass, because people who live in this area use the gardens to air the dogs and it’s hard to get all the glass out, he said.

– We’ll clean up a little more, but we probably won’t finish today, said Gustavsen around eight o’clock.

– Shocking and disgusting

In the middle of the yard in the park, neighbor Cecilie Wollebæk stands with her dog and looks at the remnants of yesterday’s celebration.

– It’s shocking and disgusting. Just thinking about the kids coming here and celebrating the day, he said.

Wollebæk has lived in St. Hanshausen for many years.

– In recent years, it is getting worse and a lot of broken glass has arrived. It’s never been like this, he said, keeping his dog from stepping on the glass or eating the leftover old kebabs.
