The Charge d’Affaires of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Azerbaijan have been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, AZERTAC reported.
The British Charge d’Affaires were summoned to the Foreign Office in connection with the attack by a radical religious group on the Azerbaijan Embassy in London a day ago:
“The other side’s attention is drawn to the fact that this provocation seriously exposes the problem of ensuring the security of diplomatic missions and that the host country must take security measures in accordance with its international legal obligations. The situation will not be repeated.
Regarding the acts of vandalism, a full investigation by the relevant UK agencies and bringing those responsible to justice are demanded.
The British charge d’affaires expressed deep regret and concern over the incident. It is reported that an investigation has been launched into the incident.”
