Big progress in the European Championship

The Kerr brothers became the first figure skaters from Scotland to win the English title. They also became the first British figure skaters to win a medal at the European Championships since 1994.

The duo, who are no longer competing together, have also made progress off the ice. Sinead works as a model and actor and his brother John has had success as a single figure skater.

They are the first British ice dancers to reach the top ten at the European Championships since Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

They collaborated with Christopher Dean in 2007 and 2008, the year they performed sensational numbers.

Praised for its Scottish origins

Based on their Scottish origins, they combine traditional music with one of Scotland’s most famous songs, “Auld Lang Syne”, which is mainly sung by people who party every New Year.

Dressed in traditional Scottish attire, the siblings attempted a seemingly gravity-defying move, seamlessly rollerblading and constantly with smiles on their faces.

– We wanted the red to be an eye-catcher on the ice and something light enough not to overwhelm us… The whole skirt is made of 10 meters long, Sinead said later in an interview.

Nice to see

The duo came out to the overwhelming cheers of the crowd full of confidence. It was an absolute joy to behold. They ended the number with the Scottish Highlands dance, in a way no one could forget.

Coincidentally, Sinead was hanging upside down and holding John’s leg in his hands. When played, enough to make the audience dizzy. they also move perfectly to the music despite the constant changes in tempo.

The two started out alone on the ice, but after seeing them together, it was clear that they made the right decision by joining forces.

Sinead and John finished in second place with their contribution, one of many medals won by these fearless brothers through their entertainment and incredible talent on the ice.
