Danger to life in UK’s new heatwave

The highest temperature ever recorded in the UK was 38.7 degrees in Cambridge in 2019. The previous record was 38.5 in Kent in 2003, writes Sky News.

It’s already hot. At night, the temperature does not drop below 20 degrees in most of the country, and on Monday the temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees.

The Met Office issued a yellow warning for very high temperatures from next Sunday onwards. Yellow warning means danger of traffic problems, power outage and risk of life and property.
