South Korean politicians will console disappointed scouts with the K-pop group BTS as a band-aid for the wound.

A South Korean politician is worried about his country’s reputation after the evacuation of an international scout camp. Now he is asking for help from the K-pop group BTS.

The proposal came from Sung Il-Jong, who sits in the South Korean National Assembly.

– We must fill the empty programs for these valuable guests with the power of Korean culture, Sung wrote in his Facebook post. He was referring to the tens of thousands of scouts now waiting to return home from scout camps that were canceled due to extreme heat and typhoon warnings.

However, one problem is that BTS superstars are not active during the day. Two of its members, Jin and J-Hope, are currently busy serving in the military. The third member, Suga, will also begin his mandatory military service.

Korean lawmakers believe that the South Korean Defense Forces should grant them leave so BTS can hold a short reunion to cheer up the stranded Scouts after the jamboree.

– All necessary measures must be taken to organize a concert on Friday for the scouts, he is sure. He believes this will raise South Korea’s national prestige.

– Scout camps have weakened our country’s reputation due to lack of preparation and poor management, said Sung, who sits on the national assembly’s defense committee.

The discontinuation of scout camps received strong criticism from South Korean media.
