Learn more about the new rates that ETIAS will have

We share with you that by 2024, around 1.4 billion people from more than 60 countries, including Australia, will have to complete procedures and pay a fee to register in the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIA).

The application process can be completed conveniently online or via a mobile app, simplifying the process for travelers.

However, it is important to note that a fee of seven euros (roughly the equivalent of AUD 11) will be required for the application.

More about the new fee for applying for an ETIAS

Countries such as Italy, Greece, Spain, Sweden and Croatia, among others, will require travelers to reapply for access to the mainland, ETIAevery three years or after the expiration of the passport validity, thereby guaranteeing its further authorization.

These steps are aimed at enhancing security protocols and facilitating entry for visitors, while maintaining a balance between security and convenience.

The European Union has advised that most applications will be processed within minutes, but advises travelers to register before buying flights or booking accommodation.
